Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This place has really good food!!! The variety and richness of African inspired flavors really stand out, and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. My absolute favorite was the oxtail stew tender, flavorful, and comforting in every bite. Also, shoutout to Bob, our waiter....he was amazing!!!!!! Super friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. Now, I will say this: it’s a little pricey. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great, but for what you pay, the portion size could be better. I've been to Vegas and got way more food for less money, so the value here feels a bit off. Still, if you're visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge and want something flavorful, warm, and a little different from the usual theme park fare, Boma is definitely worth a try."
"This is honestly one of my top favorite dine-in restaurants when it comes to eating at Disney World. What an amazing buffet! My personal favorite item is the macaroni and cheese. So liquidy cheesy and delicious. I feel that the chefs have to fill it every 10 minutes because is so good. Also, the deserts are very neatly organized and super yummy. Also, shoutout to Irina for being our waiter! Super funny and patient."
"Such a fun breakfast experience! There was loads of food options from oatmeal to bacon and eggs to some traditional dishes. They had Mickey Waffles and syrup, fruit, pancakes, granola bowls and yoghurt. Everything was delicious. The bread pudding was amazing!! We would recommend. Nearing the end of our meal they did a performance with the drums which was an unexpected surprise. We would definitely go back."
"This is one of my favorite places to eat at Disney World located in The Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Buffet is outstanding with great service! There is also the added benifit of the Savanah out back where you can go and view wild animals."
"(Dined in October) This all-you-can-eat buffet offers an abundance of superior vegan options, surpassing any other I’ve tried in the area. The warm, cozy, and stunning atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. To top it off, the service is exceptional, living up to the Disney reputation. A special thank you goes to our hostess, Vivian, who served us on the two separate nights we visited during our vacation. She provided an extra special dining experience and even went above and beyond to speak with the chef and prepare an off-menu vegan dessert platter just for us. Thank you again! I can’t wait to return."
"I wish I could give this place a 4 1/2 star. The food was amazing with wonderful selections. The food ranged from African inspired to your basic scrambled eggs, waffles, and bagels. my party tried to fill up on the African inspired food that we can’t eat at home. It was very delicious and I don’t have enough things to say about the food. this place gets very busy so I highly recommend getting a reservation. Even with our reservation, we still had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. A server brings drinks to your table, water, etc. are included with the price per person. I highly recommend trying their POG juice. The server also let us take our leftover juice and coffee into cups when we were done dining so we were able to enjoy them by the pool for the afternoon. I also recommend trying the bread pudding, it was one of the best things I ate on this trip."
"Food is unique and flavorful. The ribs with bbq sauce was amazing. Cornbread was sweet and had title bits of corn in it. The sweet corn pudding will make your tastebuds go wild! Make sure to try the peanut rice if you are a peanut butter fan. It’s tasted like a dessert. The African Spiced Beef Sirloin was cooked to perfection!"
"Boma is always a must do for us when we visit. The breakfast is always amazing and delicious. So happy they offer Mimosa flights too and only $23 dollars. Wish the spicy one had more spice and both my husband and I said they must have forgot to add whatever makes it spicy to our."
